Advice and thoughts for Rory: Let’s not call Rory a boring fighter bc it’s
“not accurate.” Let’s be fair to him and state that Rory fought “boring”
in his last 2 fights. (I’m a fan of Rory, and Canadian too.) To provide
evidence to support Rory, simply go watch him dominate BJPenn a few fights
back. That was not boring. I was worried for BJ’s life. After seeing
that fight, I said, this kid (Rory) is gonna be a World Champ very soon.
Oh dear, then it happened. Rory’s next fight with Ellenberger …well….Rory
lolly-gaged and fought conservatively thru the whole fight. (So did
Ellenberger actually) Rory should have watched a few more Rhonda fights to
remind him of the level of aggression we want to see from him. In that
Ellenberger fight, it was obvious, Rory isn’t a “little” better than
Ellenberger….he’s miles better. Nobody was angry @ J.E. at the end of the
fight bc J.E. while being a great fighter, is a few levels below Rory. Rory
just needed to finish the fight instead of “casually sparring.” Then, when
Rory should have changed up his fighting style, he does the same damn thing
again. Everybody knew Rory was/is better than Robbie, but we all wanted
Robbie to win the fight towards the 3rd round (me too) because Robbie
“put-it-all-out-there” and Rory again, fought annoying conservative. Ya
see, Silva can fight conservative for 90% of any round and still hold our
interest, bc everybody knows he can activate what seems like a
“turbo-boost” & drop anyone in the blink of an eye. But other fighters
can’t play the “Silva” game. Back to Rory now. To resuscitate ur career,
you gotta step up the aggression, 100 fold! You’ve got the skills, and u
train with GSP daily…so…come on bro. People have knocked GSP for many
areas of his game…but “nobody” will ever question how hard GSP works to get
the advantage in every second of every fight. Including when GSP was
damaged and dazed out of his mind in his fight with Hendericks. That’s the
killer instinct we need to see from ya Rory. We’ll support ya, but u need
to support urself as well….by stepping up ur aggression. And btw, let’s get
“Askren” into the UFC, he’ll bring even more flavour to the 170pound
    division, which is already stacked!

Come on Ramdeen your opinion is impossible to take seriously. Johnny won
this fight without question but you keep your usual boring biased stand.

Even Georges corner thought he lost so how can you even try and argue. Then
he mentions GSP “exciting” fights, that were only exciting because he
almost got KTFO. The only time GSP is exciting is when he is losing.

& don’t get me started on how stupid the half point system is. Instead of
adding .5s use the other fucking 10 points. Pollock is my man though, he
    said what I was thinking.

If it was a street fight, hands down, I would give it to Hendricks (based
on damage)…but it was an MMA fight that went to a decision. So you then
have to refer to take-downs and sig strikes for each round. Considering
that factor alone, I agree with the decision.

As far as the damage factor goes, it was a combo of Hendricks’ power and
that of GSP’s skin being more sensitive to trauma. Should it carry more
weight when scoring? Yes, but with there being a belt on the line (and
Hendricks being the challenger), I was initially resistant to give it to
    him for that reason alone.

    However, the sig strikes (GSP: 101 – 85) and take-downs (GSP: 3 – 2)
numbers were not that glaring of a difference…so I am now starting to
lean towards giving it to Hendricks. A rematch is definitely in order.

Also, I would like to see the judges utilize 10-8 scoring for rounds more
often (when applicable)…or even 10-10 (which I wasn’t aware they were
    able).

  4. Hugo Stiglitz says:

Even based on MMA’s flawed scoring system, Hendricks still won. That’s why
    people should be pissed off.

Damage isn’t apart of the scoring, but significant strikes are weighed more
heavily than normal strikes, and Johnny landed a lot more significant
    strikes in round 1

  5. bill smith says:

Gsp won under current judging criteria. 1,3 and 5.

  6. jja67890 says:

Condit fight was far from exiting

  7. Warren Williams says:

adding to my other comments; fight stats were- sig strikes GSP 101 v
    Hendricks 85, takedowns GSP 3 v Hendricks 2, ground control GSP 3.31 sec v
Hendricks 5.01 sec, sub attempts GSP 1 v Hendricks 0, so based on the
system in place it was closer than many think! which ever way you scored
    it!

  8. Nola213 says:

GSP 1,3,5. Either change the rules to PrideFC scoring, or don’t come off
like an ignorant idiot saying “It’s about damage” DW. No it isn’t, it’s
about who wins more rounds. Given no 10-8 rounds, which none of those
rounds were even close to warranting a 10-8 under the current rules.

  9. hoghs1 says:

Hey who took home the belt after the GSP- Hendricks fight?

  10. John V says:

CONDIT BEAT HENDRICKS AND THEY GAVE THE DECISION TO HENDRICKS NO1 TALKS
ABOUT THAT ANYMORE>??? DANA DIDNT WANT THEM FIGHTING AGAIN HE SAID IT AT
UFC 167 POST PRESSER….GSP N HENRICKS THAT WAS A CLOSEEEEE FIGHT, GUESS
WHAT? TIE GOES TO RUNNER!! HE DIDNT DO ENOUGH TO TAKE THE BELT AWAY FROM
THE CHAMP, HENDRICKS ADMITS IT HE ONLY WENT 70%….. ANDERSON SAID SUM
STUFF WHEN HE LOST, DANA KISSED HIS ASS, GSP FIGHTS ANYONE ANYTIME HE CAN,
GSP SHOULD TAKE HIS $ N GO TO BELLATORE RIGHT NOW!!! I HATE DANA AFTER HOW
    HE TREATED GSP

  11. nemanja milosevic says:

Johnny might edged him, but i don’t think thats how anyone should be able
to take the belt! You can’t toss years of winning against top conteders
because of few extra stikes (acutlally a few less but a little stronger).
You just have to finish or domimate to prove yourself.

  12. verdammt23 says:

The scoring system sucks, its for Boxing not MMA, the fight should be
    scored as a whole…..
I like GSP but Johny Hendricks won that fight : P

  13. Ch Rage says:

I’m a big GSP fan. Hendricks did win, but he didn’t do enough to be
champion. How can annoying hendricks a champion if you only put 70% while
the champions became champions by TKO/KO/Submission. IMO, Koscheck would
defeat Hendricks in a rematch. There should be a new rule that challengers
can’t become champion by very close split decisions. Split decision = draw
but they had to pick a winner.

  14. death2nubbynubs says:

Big surprise coming from a Canadian. Gsp lost. It was total bullshit. Ask
any one not in the gsp camp that is a fighter, or Kenny florian….
everyone else. I mean everyone else! Thought Hendricks won. Including
myself. I like Georges, but he should not have won that fight. Johny was
    done dirty. Fuck the NSAC!

  15. GHTRVSA says:

LOL. WTF are you talking about? “When your facing a murderers row of top
tier talent your not going to finish guys.”
This isn’t even the strongest division and GSP is supposedly one of the
best pound for pound fighters in the world. I see other champs finish
fights a lot. GSP couldn’t finish 8 of his last 9 fights.

  16. Nikolaus Mackay says:

Robin Black suffered cardiac arrest when he witnessed his boy GSP get
smashed by Hendricks. Bottom line, scoring needs to change. It would also
help to get ex-fighters judging fights since most of these Judges never
even felt a significant strike. Can’t wait to hear what GSP has to say for
    the rematch.

  17. shponglefan says:

Hendricks had the momentum going into round 5, but didn’t have the same
urgency that GSP had. As a result Hendricks gave away round 5 and the
fight. Had he came out the aggressor in round 5, he could have had a UD.

  18. Murilo Fabri says:

That was one of the most one sided fights I’ve ever seen. I’m disgusted
some of these judges actually scored in George’s favor. An absolute scared
champion and a petty performance. Big GSP fan but he should be man enough
to accept defeat and refuse to accept the belt…

  19. nesnsali says:

Some ppl are fuckin idiots sayin Gsp only won one round he won 3rd and 5th
for sure 1st could have gone either way 5th round Gsp had take downs and
was the aggressor and had octagon control 3rd round he landed more shots
and kept goin so ppl stop being idiots and actually watch the fight over

  20. Warren Williams says:

I think the fight was close, and based on the scoring system currently used
it all came down to the 1st rd and how you scored it! GSP knows how to
fight and win using this system very well! when i watched it live i had
Hendricks winning- based on the damage done etc- but watching it a 2nd time
i had it to GSP winning rds 1, 3, and 5, BUT it all depends on you’re view
of the 1st rd! bring on the rematch!

  21. Richard Leonhard says:

Tommy ToeHold suggested a system where every fight that goes the distance
is a draw. I would really like to see that.

  22. Mustafa Senegal says:

    did sonnen train for evans?

  23. Danny G says:

GSP was blind in one eye and had memory loss while Hendricks didn’t have a
    scratch on him

  24. Roronoa D Vegeta says:

haven’t started the video but from all the dislikes either you fired Robin
    or thought GSP won.

  25. Michael Glenn says:

Rounds 2 & 4 to Hendricks, round 3 to GSP, rounds 1 and 5 were very close.
